How to Cancel Your Gym Membership in Texas
Texas's Health Spa Act (Tex. Bus. & Com. Code § 702) regulates gym contracts, providing a 3-business-day right to cancel. After that window, members can still cancel for qualifying reasons (death, disability, relocation, job transfer). Texas also requires health spa operators to file a registration and maintain a bond, a gym operating without proper registration may have an unenforceable contract.
