How to Cancel Your Gym Membership in Texas
Texas's Health Spa Act (Tex. Occ. Code Section 702) regulates gym contracts, providing a 3-business-day right to cancel. After that window, members can still cancel for a partial refund for qualifying reasons (death, total permanent disability, the spa closing or relocating more than 10 miles away). Prepaid memberships are subject to prorated refund rules.
